The below videos, performed by David Walker Sensei, are samples only of bunkai (interpretation and analysis) of various Karate kata (forms). We include this area mainly for advanced practitioners seeking insight into the inner meanings of kata. David Sensei would like to emphasize that the following are simply "some possibilities among many", as he views kata and its meaning as interpretive art, not as something written in stone. Many of the movements are followed-up so as to provide realistic context; however, careful attention has been paid to ensure that the original kata poses are shown in their unmodified forms.
